About Journal of University of Raparin

Journal of University of Raparin is a scientific and academic journal. It publishes research manuscripts which are original and of a high quality in the fields of humanity, natural and health sciences from inside and outside of Kurdistan Region. The journal publishes articles and researches written in Kurdish, Arabic, Persian and English.

Guide for authors to publish researches and articles in Journal of University of Raparin

  1. The manuscripts should not be published elsewhere, or rejected by any other academic journal and they should abide by Journal of University of Raparin’s guide.
  2. All the submitted manuscript will be double-blindly reviewed by two expert reviewers, nevertheless, upon rejection of the manuscript another reviewer will be called to gain complete certainty. Later, the decision of publication acceptance/rejection will be taken by journal’s editorial board.
  3. Researchers/Authors are expected to print out the researches on A4 papers margined with 2.2 cm from all sides and submitted to the journal through the following link: http://journal.uor.edu.krd/submission.html. Additionally, after online submission of the research and receiving confirmation from the journal board and in order to proceed with the revision and publication process the authors are required to pay the publication fee (an amount of 150,000 IQDs) within a week.
  4. The research pages should not exceed 25 pages for humanities, 20 pages for health and natural sciences, however, this does not include appendices, charts, tables, pictures and other required materials.
  5. All the papers submitted to the journal should undergo the plagiarism checker process, hence, the authors bear responsibility of content and results of the study’s. The researchers are required to fill in a form to this end available at the journal’s website.

Style Guidelines

The manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. The title of the paper should be written at the top, bolded and aligned in the center of the page followed by the name(s) of author(s) and affiliating institution(s) in the font size 16 for the humanities and 14 for the sciences. The font size should be 18 for the main title, 16 for the subtitles, 14 for the content and 12 for the footnotes (endnotes) for humanities and it should be 18 for the main title, 16 for the subtitles, 14 for the content and 10 for the footnotes (endnotes) for the sciences.
  2. The authors should use the font types Unikurd Goran for the content and Unikurd Jino for the titles and subtitles for the manuscripts written in Kurdish language, and use the font type Ali-a-alwand for the content and Ali-a- Samik for the titles and subtitles for the manuscripts written in Arabic language. Authors who write in English should use the font type Times New Roman with the font sizes 16 for the main title, 14 for the subtitles, 12 for the content and 10 for the footnotes (endnotes).
  3. All the headings and subheadings should be bolded.
  4. The research abstract should include the study’s aim, methodology, results and recommendations. It should also be written in two other languages and should be attached with the submitted copies of the research.
