The Journalist's Role for the Development of the Kurdish Media in Bahdinan 1950 – 1991

Abstract

The research entitled (The Journalist's Role for the Development of the Kurdish media in Bahdinan 1950 - 1991). This research has examined several issues relating to the role of the media in Bahdinan between 1950 - 1991. Also about the lower level of the media in Bahdinan from 1950 - to 1991 compared with the other cities in south Kurdistan. One of the causes was that several Bahdinan journalists had roles outside Bahdinan. The research is a historical study and has used descriptive methodology. The research is important for journalists and media departments, also to understand of significant difficulties and problems of the Kurdish media and journalists in Bahdinan 1950 - 1991. In conclusion, the Bahdinan has had many journalists and writers from 1950 - to 1991 but most of them have had a role in media outside Bahdinan, not inside Bahdinan.
