The effectiveness of the proposed e-learning program according to the academic boredom of self-learning among Koya university students

The aim of the study is to determine the effectiveness of the proposed e-learning program according to the academic boredom of self-learning. The experimental approach was used for two independent, equal groups, (44) male and female students were deliberately chosen. The research tool consisted of 45 items. Honesty and constancy were acceptable. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the academic post boredom test in favor of the experimental group. The differences were statistically significant in the pre and post tests of the experimental group, and the result was in favor of the post test. There were no statistically significant differences in academic boredom between the pre and post test of the female group in the experimental group. No statistically significant differences were found for females of academic boredom between the pre and post test for both groups. There were statistically significant differences among males from academic boredom between the pre and post tests for both groups in favor of the experimental groups. The research presented some recommendations and suggestions.

The reflections of e-learning from a sociological perspective

E-learning has gained considerable importance in the fields of education and teaching. This is because E-learning or distance learning brings direct replacement or is complementary to on-campus educational institutions especially in the cases of emergencies that cause disruption of face-to-face learning in schools. The aim of this research is to present the reflections of e-learning on university students, to present the philosophy of e-learning, the reasons and justifications and types of e-learning, the method is descriptive. Although this type of learning has a long history in some of the neighboring countries of Iraq and in the world, it is a relatively recent mean of learning in the Kurdistan region. This is due to the rapid and continuous changes in technology in the world which has been of paramount concern to researchers. In order to present and analyze the reflections resulting from these changes, the field of education has considered how these changes affect society. In today’ world, education is one of the most important factors to make progress in societies. According to the scientists in the field of education, these findings and the new advents of present-day technology have positively affected almost all the institutions in the society.

The level of use of e-learning in social sciences lessons in primary schools in Sulaimani from the perspective of teachers

The aim of the researchers is to determine the level of use of e-learning in social sciences lessons in primary schools in Sulaimani from the perspective of teachers for the academic year (2021-2022). The researchers relied on the descriptive analytical method according to the nature of the research. The study population consists of all social science teachers in primary schools of the third circle in both eastern and western education of Sulaimani, which numbered (148) schools. The sample consists of (254) teachers in both eastern and western education of Sulaimani (151) He was a female teacher, The survey form was created based on an open survey for some of the teachers of the research sample and sources and research related to this topic and then published in the research community to collect different opinions of social science teachers in both education, The content of the survey form consisted of a number of scientific and educational topics, After preparing the tool and determining the accuracy of the measure according to the opinion of experts. Then to determine the stability of the survey form, based on the method of halving and alpha-Cronbach stability of the tool was determined The sample of the study was implemented using statistical equations, with the analysis of variables (gender, academic degree, specialty and years of service) using the program (SPSS). In order to show the difference. The researchers has found that the level of e-learning in social sciences in terms of teachers is generally at a high level, and there is no statistic difference in the level of e-learning among social science teachers according to gender variated. There is no statistical difference in the use of e-learning among social science teachers according to the specialty variable, however, the results show that there is a statistical difference in the use of e-learning among social science teachers according to the variable years of service.

Kurdish EFL Students’ Perceptions about the use of E-learning During the Covid-19 Lockdown

The outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) in December 2019 caused the total closure of educational institutions and led to stop of the face-to-face teaching for a long time. Therefore, e-learning was applied as an alternative teaching method to continue education. However, little is known about students’ perceptions on the use and acceptance of e-learning implemented during the Covid-19 lockdown, especially in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Hence, this study aims to explore the university students’ perceptions about the use of e-learning during the lockdown in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. In so doing, a mixed-method approach is utilised to collect both quantitative and qualitative data from 50 Kurdish EFL students. The results of data analysis revealed that more students show positive perceptions than those who hold neutral and negative perceptions about the use of e-learning during the lockdown.
