The Residence (Settlement) of Mala’s Shrine in Kalar District

The study area is located in the southern part of the Kurdistan Region and the western north part in Kalar district and the northern part of Rizgari district. The settlement of Mala’s shrine is located in the vicinity of the squares (34°52'06.5" -34.868472 N) of the north of the earth and the length lines (45°17'34.0" -45.292778 E) of the east, see map number (1). The area is (3049.36) dunum and (37) km far away from Kalar district.The purpose of this study is to point out the most important natural and human characteristics in the settlement of Mala’s shrine. Thus, the research is related to the scientific approach for establishing the basis of research. This research is composed of two main parts so as to arrive at the main goal of the research: The first part is entitled (Introducing the Settlement of Mala’s Shrine) which consists of two main topics the first of which talks about (The History of the Settlement of the Mala’s Shrine) whereas the second topic refers to (The Natural Characteristics of the Residence of the Mala’s Shrine) such as (height and low, water resources, wild plants, etc.) The second part is entitled "The Human Characteristics of the Settlement of Mala’s Shrine ", which is made up of three main topics, the first of which discusses (The Number of Population) between 1984 and 2023 while the second topic comes across (the distribution of the types of Settlement Earths of Mala’s Shrine). Meanwhile, the third topic deals with (Economic Source of the Settlement of Mala's Grave such as Agriculture and Livestock).

Geographical Analysis of Residential Projects and their Impact on Solving Residential Issues in Kalar City

Residential projects with necessary infrastructure and social services offer a distinct social and urban environment and better living conditions compared to the old neighborhoods. These projects support the continuity of family relations and social activities through gatherings in recreational areas and children’s playgrounds, offering a viable solution for the residential gap caused by the disparity between the number of residential units and population growth. The research analyzes the nature of residential projects in Kalar city, focusing on their geographical distribution, reasons for their emergence and development, obstacles faced, and their role in addressing the housing shortage. The first part of the research is the theoretical framework. The second part covers the geographical distribution of residential projects in the research area, encompassing 22 projects and 23,376 residential units as of 2023. The third part explains the reasons behind construction and increase of these projects. The fourth part presents an analysis for the distribution of the projects using GIS. The fifth part evaluates the inhabited projects in terms of density and communal services either in the current site plans or in the planning criteria based on population and residential unit numbers. The final part examines the role of these projects in solving the residential gap in Kalar, where 34,663 families are accommodated in 32,498 residential units as of 2023.
