Paranoid Personality in Farhad Pirbal’s Novels: A Triangular Grave and Santiago de Compostela

This research is titled Paranoid Personality’ in Farhad Pirbal’s novels, A Triangular Grave and Santiago de Compostela. Paranoia is a psychological and psychiatric term describing a condition in which an individual experiences delusions, fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, jealousy, and prejudice, potentially leading to confusion and mental disorders. The issue of ‘Paranoid Personality’ in Farhad Pirbal’s novels, A Triangular Grave and Santiago de Compostela, highlights the fact that paranoia has not been independently addressed in literary and psychological research. This study seeks to fill that gap, asserting that an independent examination of paranoia in these works is both academically and scientifically necessary. The study is structured into several chapters, including an abstract, introduction, theoretical frameworks related to paranoia, and methodology. In the methodology section, we analyze quotes from various parts of the novels that reflect the paranoid state of the main characters. The study concludes with findings on Paranoid Personality in both novels, followed by a list of references. We employed a descriptive analysis method, defining key terms and analyzing relevant quotes in the first and second chapters, respectively.
