Abstract
This research is an attempt to reflect indirect speech acts in a bunch of texts from the novel “Nan Leser Mezi Khale Milad-Khwbz Ala Tawla Khale Milad” to show the power of executing meaning and familiarize with the ways of use, pragmatic and interpreting the different effective purposes of those acts according to the need of the individuals’ status and their conversations about the events. That is according to Searel’s classification of this kind of acts limited with the (purpose) criteria, the speaker’s purpose of executing a speech act. The idea of these indirect acts to John Sirel is summarized that not only words and sentences determine meaning, but the context plays a significant role in explaining the speaker’s purpose and addressing the hearer’s thought and guessing the purpose to reach the meaning the conversation intends to convey. It is also the context that interprets the expressed idea like it is the execution of a speech act. Through speech, the speaker wants to imply something different from the known explicit purpose that the hearer receives with reason. What indirect speech acts communicate depends on the background of each of the speaker and the addressee.
