Abstract
Since the spread of Islam, Muslim scholars have exerted great efforts to understand, preserve, and disseminate the religion across various nations and cultures, rising above geographical and ethnic boundaries. Among these contributors, Kurdish scholars played a particularly distinguished role. Embracing Islam voluntarily, they not only integrated the faith into their communities but also made significant contributions to its propagation and intellectual development. With deep faith and dedication, many Kurdish scholars emerged as prominent figures in Islamic scholarship, leaving a lasting impact on theology, jurisprudence, philosophy, and literature throughout the Islamic world. This study focuses on the critical edition of a rare manuscript authored by the prominent Kurdish Fiqh, Sheikh Ibn al-Qardaghi (RAH), titled: "The ruling on giving money to cancel prayer and fasting instead of the deceased depending on the Hanafi School, and the manner of doing so". The document, dating back to the 14th century AH, represents a valuable participation to Hanafi jurisprudence. The research follows a rigorous academic methodology, consisting of the comparison of manuscript copies, preparation of the text, source documentation, explanation of unclear terms, and citation of relevant legal evidences. One of the key outcomes of the researcher is focusing on the manuscript’s scholarly significance, serving as a modest preparation to the preservation and purebred of Islamic legal heritage.
