Practicing Mythological Criticism in Diyar Aradni’s Novels

The theory of mythological criticism is based on creating a comparison between literary texts, according to the concept of the collective unconscious, the subconscious, the highest and sacred primitive patterns, myths, beliefs, sacred symbols, and imaginary structure. Diyar aradny is no different from others who wrote legendary novels, although we find in him creativity in his novels, diversit y in sources, and creation of a new horizon and motivation for the reader. In his novels, he benefited from primitive patterns that depend on mythological criticism and similar texts and their mechanisms to be in line with modern critical thought. In this research, we will try to reveal the types of primitive patterns and some of the mechanisms of mythological criticism in these three novels that were chosen, and how these primitive patterns were reflected in the novels (Fiar, Eva, Kaf) by Diyar aradny. At the same time, the research attempted to uncover the myth and symbol in these novels. The author benefited from the mythological background of the novel. He tried to embody it in all parts and themes of his novels and use the mechanisms of mythological criticism in his novels.

The Hero in the Epic of Sheikh San'an Hawrami According to Joseph Campbell's Theory of the "Hero's Journey"

This paper entitled (The Hero in the Epic of Sheikh San'an Hawrami According to Joseph Campbell's Theory of the "Hero's Journey") is an attempt to introduce the hero of the Epic of Sheikh San'an Hawrami according to the theory of the hero's journey, That was set by the American mythologist Joseph Campbell (1904-1987). This theory consists of three sections, All three sections consist of seventeen stages. Joseph Campbell believes that no hero being is excluded from these seventeen stages, but not every Hero has to go through all seventeen stages in parallel, but varies from Hero to Hero. In this study, the journey of the hero of the Epic of Sheikh San'an Hawrami has been evaluated according to this theory and all the stages that the hero has gone through with the stages that the hero has not gone through have been discussed. Finally, the results are presented, one of which is the circular event of the Epic and the relationship between the gender of the hero and the subject of the journey. Through this special feature, the hero and the path of the journey within the structure of Sheikh San'an Hawrami epic is identified and by using the theory takes the relationship of Sheikh San'an Hawrami epic with several genders of Sufism and mythology to the structure of world epic.

Myth and the Sumerian Mythology

Myth and the Sumerian Mythology has been entitled to this study, which is a scientific attempt to stand upon the concept of Legendary. Legendary is a literary genre that has been narrated amongst generations respectively. This study includes some truths which reflects realities in primitive communities. The truths and realities reflect human beliefs, opinions, the way of thinking and consciousness who considered as GOD and heroes of natural forces at that time. Their willingness and needs were above all things. Working on legendary is different from other subjects such as story, superstition and relation to history. Narrating or describing Sumerian Legendary and comparing to the realities of societies and their roles in directing peoples´ life at that time. Except the abstract,and its translation in languages Kurdish, Arabic and introduced and results the study and its abstract have been dealt with intensively in the framework of four sections.
