The Role of Social Media in Marketing Health Services in the Kurdistan Region

This paper, entitled "The Role of Social Media in the Marketing of Healthcare Services in the Kurdistan Region," is an academic attempt to decide about how much social media is in use in the area to help in the advancement of healthcare services. With a focus on all medical services at Raparin Administration, it makes use of a descriptive qualitative approach, which is one of the best methods in the field of Media. All the medical organizations at Raparin Administration have been used as the medium of the study, where a standardized academic interview form has been created by the researcher to gather information, opinions, and insights from all these organizations about how they use social media for the goals of healthcare service marketing. Therefore, the researcher has made an interview with seven administrative medical officials in the area and has taken all of their suggestions and opinions into careful consideration along with providing them with accurate analysis. The most important conclusion drawn by the researcher after careful analysis of the data and information, is that social media is a key factor in health care marketing, with an impact rate of 33.57%. This shows that social media platforms have a great role in the promotion of healthcare services in the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, the results also show that most health facilities mainly depend on Facebook, as their key channel, to publish advertisements and introduce their business, their products as well as their medical services.

The Influences of Social Media on Changing Social Values of Women in The Kurdistan Region.

The main problem of this study, which is entitled (The effects of social media on changing social values of women in the Kurdish region) is that there is a vague and lack of understanding of the effects in which the use of social media platforms haS on the women in the Kurdistan Region. As such, the study attempts to achieve several aims specifically understanding and examining the influence of the use of social media platforms on changing social values of the employed women in the Kurdistan region, in addition to exploring the most values in which could be affected by these platforms. In terms of the approaches, this study is both quantitative and qualitative, as the data that were collected from the tools, are both numbers and information. Moreover, the researcher has explained and interpreted the collected data to provide a deeper understanding of the topic and results. The structure and topic of the study have required the use of survey method and for data collection the researcher resorted to the use of questionnaires forms, which were sent to the sample of the study(1088 participants) online through Google form and hardcopy, from all the four provinces of Kurdistan Region (Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok and Halabja).Furthermore, the size of the sample was determined based on the data that the researcher gained from statistics authority in the KRG. The figure is (143560) female employees in the offices of the Kurdistan Region, of which (0.5%) is taken. The most obvious finding of the study is that social media has had a significant impact on changing social values ​​among women in the Kurdistan Region (42.2%) and most of this impact is negative.

The Role of Media Literacy in Dealing with Misinformation in The Kurdistan Region

The main aim of this study is to determine the level each of (exposure to social media and media literacy and to determine the difference in the level each of exposure to social media and media literacy according to variables (Specialist in Education and university. The researcher used descriptive-survey method and the research community includes students of four universities (Salah al-Din, Duhok, Sulaimani and Halabja) for the academic year (2024-2025) which numbers (70241) students، the sample research consist of (385) student’s those are elected bye (Proportional Stratified Sampling) from each university. To measure the level of exposure to social media and media literacy, the researcher prepared a scale in collaboration with the supervisor that consists of (8) questions and (24) items and doing psychometric face validity is (%90) and reliability is (.89). For analyze data the researcher used (SPSS.V.27) and used many static articles such (One sample T-test, Independent sample t-test, One way-ANOVA, Pearson correlation, Guttmann and cronbach’s Alpha ) the results showed that the study sample had low exposure to social media and high level of media literacy, and there is a statistically significance difference in the level social media exposure according to educational specialty and university, in the other hand there is’t statically significance the level of media literacy according to educational specialty but there is statically significance according to university, the sulaimani university student’s had higher level media literacy compare than othr universities students. Finally, the researcher made a number of recommendations in the light of the results.

The Impact of Social Media Advertising, Especially Snapchat, on Female University Students)

The Impact of Social Media Advertising on Female University Students Snapchat as an example. Snapchat has a role in creating influence across all sectors of life, particularly in social and professional aspects related to daily basis, including many scocial issues and topics. Currently, advertising companies are so active on social media platforms, especially Snapchat, which has gained wide range of attention in the lives of individuals and communities. In this era of fast technological advancement, the researcher in this study scientifically examines the extent of the impact of social media advertising on female university students. The primary goal of this study is to understand the relationship between social media advertising and Snapchat, explore the characteristics of advertising influence through Snapchat, evaluate the level of its impact, and identify Snapchat's key role in shaping advertising effects on female university students. Community of The study consists of female students at Salahaddin University in Erbil, spanning different colleges, departments, and academic levels. A stratified random sampling was used to distribute (300) forms of questionnaires. The researcher employed statistical tools based on the (SPSS) system for data analysis. The study adopts a descriptive method , and for practical data collection and precise conclusions, the researchers used survey methodology to determine the impact of social media advertising on female university students. The study reached several key scientific findings, most notably: Snapchat is a significant factor in the effectiveness of social media advertising on female students at Salahaddin University. The results highlight the crucial role Snapchat plays in advertising influence.

The Impact of Public Relations on Marketing in the Era of Social Media

This research discusses in a description method the Impact of public relations in social media marketing. The research aims to analyze the mutual effect between public relations and marketing strategies and how these relations contribute to enhancing promotion and the making of the value of the brand. The research also discusses the tools and steps that public relations offers to support marketing in this digital era with focusing on its effect on building general opinion and long term customers. Public relations has become a core variable in marketing success. Especially in the age of social media which witnesses a major shift in the methods of social interactions and the impact on general opinion? This research represents the effect of public relations on marketing in doing so also understanding the new dynamics which links effective marketing and the making of the mental image of the brands. Public relations depend on building transparent social channels that are effective between firms and its prospects. With the emergence of social media these channels became interactive stages with an immediate sense that allowed public relations to develop innovative strategies that serve marketing goals. Public relations are no longer limited to enhancing the firm’s image, instead it became a major partner in relaying marketing messages, targeting prospects, and managing reactions. Within this framework classical public relations interact with new digital ones to offer a new value for marketing. For instance, public relations can contribute to enhance interactions with the marketing content, building impactful stories about products and services, and increase brand awareness. It also contributes to increase the prospect’s trust which directly affects purchase decisions and achieve customer loyalty.

The Role of Social Media Platforms in the Candidates’ Campaign for the Kurdistan Parliament Election of 2024

In this research, the researcher works on the importance of social media platforms in conveying candidates’ messages and their impact on voters with classifying the platforms from the most used to the least used by voters for the purpose of being aware of Sulaimani constituency’s candidates’ election campaign messages and activities for the (2024) Kurdistan parliamentary elections. The researcher sought through practical aspects based on descriptive methods and through (survey) to achieve the objectives of this research, the most important of which is to determine the type of social media platform which had the most users in the (2024) Kurdistan parliamentary election campaign. The most evident conclusions reached by the researcher are: The three social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) identified by the researcher were used by voters at different levels, however the (TikTok) platform had the most users for the aim of being aware of (2024) Kurdistan parliamentary elections candidates’ messages and activities. Political parties’ candidates have accorded importance to social media platforms to disseminate their messages and activities, however the candidates of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan’s candidates had the highest importance paid to applying social media platforms while giving a special importance to the (Tik Tok) platform within the platforms. The researchers focused more on the messages and activities of the candidates posted via videos. At the same time, the messages and activities posted through the (TikTok) platform had the greatest impact on the voters in order to decide to vote for the candidates.

Misleading Media Content on Social Media and Its Behavioral Effects on University Youth

The main subject of this study’s discussion is to achieve the main goal of revealing the behavioral effects of the distorting media content on the social media websites on the universities’ youth, as a social stratum, who are users of such sites and are more exposed, and the interpretation of the effects obtained from their exposure. The study is based on a qualitative approach with the aim of reaching a deep and accurate understanding of the phenomenon and its interpretation of the behavioral effects on the universities’ youth, which were carried out through the use of in-depth interview tools in the form of non-random-purposed sampling with (20) students of the Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic University. The most important findings of the study: A large number of the universities’ youth are confused by the vast amount of information that is published on social media websites on a daily basis, which has led to doubts about the ability of young people to distinguish real media content from the misleading content. The misleading media content evokes feelings of anxiety, fear, and lack of will among the universities’ youth. This misleading content promotes low-quality cosmetics in the e-commerce process, thus influencing the purchasing decisions of the university youth, which has led to their detrimental health and financial well-being.

The spread of Rumors through Social Networking Sites and their effects on Social Security.

Social media have been widely spread due to their interactivity، ease، and speed of access to news and information، which made them a fertile environment for the growth of lies and paved the way for rumors to spread and have become one of the most dangerous weapons of fourth generation wars in spreading discord and chaos and destabilizing the security and social stability of countries. This study came to address the spread of rumors through social media platforms and their effects on social security. I used the descriptive analytical method. The study concluded with a set of results، most notably: Transcending the concept of Social media from communication media for social communication to an electronic environment qualified to spread rumors. In addition to the multiplicity of types of rumors and the varying motives and gratifications of their promoters from one society to another. Among the most prominent negative effects of the spread of rumors on Social media is that they work to spread chaos، disintegrate society، spread fear and anxiety in the hearts of members of society، and also work to spread terrorism and threaten the internal stability and social security of states. In Iraq and the Kurdistan Region، the spread of rumors through social media has led to the destabilization of civil and community peace، provoking strife، deepening internal disputes، losing confidence in officials and community leaders، as well as losing a sense of tranquility and security، spreading the values of violence and a culture of hatred، and provoking sectarian or ethnic strife among the components of Iraqi society. Hence the threat to security and social stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The study recommended the importance of developing a preventive media strategy to educate community members about the danger of rumors on the social security of Iraq. The need for the media to adopt credibility and transparency in reporting events، open the way for the masses to express their views on various issues، and create an independent media and research center to monitor and analyze rumors. And the application of deterrent penalties for those who spread rumors that pose a threat to social security in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

The Impacts of Filtering in Social Media Facebook on Users in the Kurdistan Region

Social media has prevailed over conventional media and it has impacted the society enormously. This research investigates the impacts of filtering in social media platform of Facebook. Filtering is argued to have positive influences on the quality of media productions. The main objective of the research is to scrutinize the effects of filtering in Facebook. The problem of this research is that Facebook users are overwhelmed by a flood of false and perilous information that come to them through unfiltered social media platforms. The significance of the work lies in its attempt to eradicate all the messages that get disseminated irresponsibly in social media. Methodologically, the study employed a descriptive method by conducting an online survey in the four governorates of the Kurdistan Region. Furthermore, a three-point Correct spelling scale is used in the research. A sample of (N 284) journalists from Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok and Halabja was selected for the empirical data collection process. Findings indicate that majority of journalists believe that filtering is a necessity in Facebook and filtering is an effective tool to end humiliation and disrespect in social media in the Kurdistan Region.

The Effect of Electronic Advertising in Social Media on University Students in Kurdistan Region

The Main purpose of this study is to find out the effect of electronic advertising on social Media on university students in Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The impact of electronic advertising making a purchase decision. The aim of this research is that it is an attempt to understand the mechanisms of taking information about the impact of electronic advertising for purchase. . Researchers in this research have scientifically demonstrated the effect of electronic advertising on university students. This research relied on survey methods for collecting data and information of the research. The sample of this study were students of Erbil Polytechnic University and 300 students participated the survey. The most important findings of the researcher is that the interaction with the electronic advertising on social media sites has taken a high level, and the models taken from the search sample most of them use social media sites (Messenger, Viber, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook), and the models taken benefit from this network, taking the information and seeing the services available there.
