A Geometrical Analysis of The Distribution and Evaluation of The car Roads Network in Dukan District

Abstract

Road networks are one of the aspects that countries pay great attention to, as any territory has the ability to achieve a degree of progress and economic, social and cultural development How well do they serve the inhabitants of the district ? Transportation networks are considered one of the most important aspects of human activities and hold significant importance, so in this study based on geographical information systems to estimate  and analyze the location of transportation roads scientifically. In this study, the distribution of geographical placement of the transportation network has been taken and presented accurately because in any region car transportation has been created and developed in several stages. Also, these stages make their geographical distribution and density to be difference according to natural and humanitarian aspects. Then, according to common standards, we have assessed the geographical distribution of the road network in the area, in order to show the capacity of the roads for the necessities of the population of the area.         

So, we have discussed the geographical distribution of transportation networks in the study area based on administrative units, population, height and low surface area, then evaluating the transportation network, stability of networks according to area and population. And the degree of rotation according to the mathematical formula of (Beta ,Gama ,Alfa).The total length of roads in the study area is (738.88) km and the area is (1786.85 km2). This is the result of analyzing the equivalence for road length and area The density of main road is low, but the density of secondary and agricultural roads is high according to international standards and serve the area as needed.
